Board Activities
In addition to the Dollar Letter Campaign, the Evanston Woman’s Board has donated substantial funds for capital projects and programs including the purchase of a building annex named Evanston Hall; a new roof for the House; and to commemorate our 100th birthday, replacement of the original windows in the Settlement House with energy efficient, historically correct ones; as well as seed money for the Settlement’s Family Cares Mental Health Center.
We enjoy each other’s company, and below are some pictures from our meeting listening to Settlement’s Rowe Elementary School principal Jason Smith; our annual luncheon and flower potting with the Early Childhood Education parents; working in the garden; the new table and chairs we purchased for the garden; and hosting Popcorn Bars with all the fixings for teacher appreciation days at Rowe; two of our “pop-up” fundraisers, and others.
